About Us:
Sky Carp Fishing Holidays offers a great fishing experience on beautiful Rack Island, Rice Lake. Rice Lake is located 112 km East of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A very fertile shallow lake, Rice Lake is home to many species of fish. Weedbeds and mudflats are abundant and contribute to the lake’s great fertility. Panfish are abundant and provide food for predatory fish, such as largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, pike, muskie… and CARP!
Your hosts are Vince and Marina White. You will be welcomed and feel at home right away in a clean, comfortable setting. We look forward to meeting you.
Meet your Guide:
Vince White was born in the United Kingdom into a military family resulting in many travels around the world. Vince’s first fishing experience was for eel, while living in Germany at the age of six, and he has been fishing ever since. As Vince grew older and fished for a variety of species during family travels, he grew a passion for carp, as he loves the immense fight carp give.
Vince immigrated to Canada in 2009 and explored many of the lakes and rivers within Ontario. He soon discovered Rice Lake and fell in love with the carp at this location. Vince is a sport-fisherman with an eco-friendly mindset, always utilizing the “catch & release” method.
Over the years, he has competed in local and regional tournaments and he also is part of the Disabled Angler’s Club. Vince has been very successful at catching rare mirror carp. More recently, he has transitioned into a fisherman’s guide, giving others similar success in their personal fishing experiences.
